Episode 001 – Who, What, when, Where, and Why? (Nov. 1, 2024)
This is your initiation into the Shirley Temple Society. It’s only fitting that the first episode tell our origin story!
Founded in Orlando, this inclusive community seeks to bring people together to have a great time, without the booze. Encouraging attendees to dress in retro/pin-up attire adds to the flair of these events.
In between parties, “Sober Betties” engage on our Facebook Group by the same name. Since these spaces aren’t limited to only those who are 100% sober, it’s a great way to network without the social obligations or awkward conversations.

Episode 003 – Sobriety, Moderation, and Mocktails, oh my!
This is your initiation into check-in on your relationship with alcohol. Are there any red flags? Rosé flags, maybe?
We may call ourselves Sober Betties, but it doesn’t mean we really want everyone to be 100% stone sober. We want people to make healthy decisions for themselves. Maybe that is moderation, just like some vegetarians may lean more to the pescatarian persuasion.

Episode 005 – It’s All About Who You Know
You might have heard the phrase before: “It’s not about what you know, it’s about who you know.” Well, that may be true for opportunities that come along, but what about the close connections you can control?
The people we keep closest to us are the ones who help us grow as people. When’s the last time you checked in about how these relationships made you feel?

Episode 006 – Supporting Sober Friends with Kayleigh H. of Kay Zorel Cosplay

In this episode, we learn more about Kayleigh Harrison and her experiences being a sober artist. She’s a Central Florida cosplayer, model, artist, and more! Come check out a unique perspective on sobriety and how you can pretty easily support your sober friends.
Remember, drinking responsibly also means not waving it in the face of others or using it to make other people feel uncomfortable. We can all coexist even if we have different beverage preferences, trust me!
Episode 007 – Take Pride in Your Progress
You might have heard the phrase before: “Stop and smell the roses,” or the more recent, “I can buy myself flowers.” Even though they may be a little different, there’s the idea that you can get the results (success, achievement, flowers) yourself, but it’s also good to slow down and smell them to remember how sweet they are.
Similarly, you can be so focused on your path that you forget to step back and really be proud of how far you’ve come. In this episode I do a lot of this type of reflection since it’s my 7-year soberversary on the release date! (12/13/24)
Remember that little steps still add up and little actions (like listening to provocative podcasts) can help you make big progress even if it doesn’t feel like it in your day-to-day. Don’t forget that our facebook group is here to hype you up, no matter where you are on your journey.
